A big thanks to my buddy David Foster. In response to pleas for help on tents he advised I get a 'Macpac Stellar'. It's a beauty. Being the young man I am I needed a tent I could sit up in! Ever tried to put on socks lying down - or even worse - cycling nicks? The 'Stellar' is great as it also met the weight criteria as well as packing easily into a front pannier. The olive green coloring gives some security when bush camping as its blends into the environment. Also the 'Schwable Marathon Plus' tyres. Great buy. When the trucks cause me to slip off the shoulder, or simply when I slip off for no reason, the wide tread handles the rough stuff like a dream. Also being so resistant to punctures I've been confidently riding through some pretty scarey sharp stuff! Of course this good advice was backed up by Alan Capell. Check out David's site at:
