Melbourne at last!

Yesterday I fought a miserable blusterly shirt-fronting headwind from Seymour. By the time I'd done 55 km and got to Wallan over the Macedon Ranges I was ready to stop. (I even had to pedal downhill - the wind was so strong!) Sadly Wallen was without any accommodation - no pubs, Caravan Parks, Motels etc. Even with the enthusiastic assistance of two Library staff making lots of phone calls nothing could be found. The suggestion was that I backtrack 15 Kilometeres to Kilmore where accommodations abounds. The thought of an extra 2 hours on a bike, (I'd averaged 13km/hr into the wind!), led to a wealth of expletives rushing to the brain. All were left unsaid as I thanked the fabulous ladies for their assistance.

While coffeeing at a cafe the thought came to mind of jumping on the train at the nearby station and going straight to Melbourne. This I did and hence had a lovely relaxing Tuesday night in an inner city Motel.

As you can see from the attached I've now taken to driving trams!
