We have had a great 65 kilometre ride today in this continuing glorious Scottish sunshine. As you can see we have met cows, enjoyed the scenery and Brian found accommodation with his name! Tomorrow we reach Carlisle and the end of the Lochs and Glens ride. Brian then heads back to London to continue with his work and I travel back to Helensburgh to begin packing ready to fly to the States from Glasgow on Saturday 17th. We are both relishing the totally unexpected pleasant weather here in Scotland! We have both carried significant weight in wet weather gear, thermal etc. With all the locals we have claimed the weather as our gift from Cairns! They dont want us to leave in case it changes. The local comment is that its been hotter than summer!
