Lanes, rabbits and hedgerows!

I'm now in the UK and have travelled 130 kms. My spent my first night, Friday 11th, at a Youth Hostel at Castle Hedingham where I was joined by 20 touring cyclists from London who were on a three day cycling weekend. We shared dinner and it was great to meet them all and talk cycling. Last night, Saturday 12th, was spent with family friends, Pauline and David, at their lovely English bungalow in a place called Hundon. A fabulous evening with, of course, great food, lovely wine and buckets of laughs! I was made to feel so much at home I could have stayed on for weeks! (photo above.)
Tonight I'm with a great friend, Carrie, with whom I once worked as a colleague educator when she was in South Australia. She has a lovely large house on half an acre in the heart of Cambridge with an outstanding garden. I'm committed now to ride the full distance to Glasgow. No more time off for lazy touring!
