BERLIN TO COPENHAGEN

Not wanting to over emphasise the negative but on the entry into a town called Oranienburg the cyclepath takes you past what was obviously an abandoned Concentration Camp. I was informed later that it was known as being one of the most notorious concentration camps Eastern Bloc dominated by the USSR. It was huge with many watchtowers and what seemed like kilometers of very high stone walls. It would have accommodated thousands! It was quite a haunting and emotional experience to ride past it. Its a reminder of what we never want to return to.
