Its like experiencing a time warp! All forms of motorised transport are banned on Mackinac Island. To get there it was a very much windswept passage on the Ferry - the wind even flattened out the wrinkles on my face, and made some new ones!
I'm having a day off cycling before heading off on the southern ferry to Mackinaw City tomorrow. I could have used the bridge by paying to have the bike carted across but the ferry journeys are a much more interesting option. (You can't ride across the bridge as you'd be blown off!)
