Scottish Maritime Museum at Irvine.

As a serving officer on a number of the Clyde-built liners this stop was of great interest to Brian. Here we see the templates for the turbines of QE2. The huge building housing this display was demolished at its original site on Clydeside and rebuilt piece by piece at Irvine. It is fitting given the enormous history of the contribution of this part of the world to shipping.
